Hello

Welcome to the forum bl0tch

I suggest you do some reading of the forum, there is so much information available to be read, nobody can possibly tell you what is best as everyone has different preferences. What do you like to watch on TV? do you want to take out a subscription? Do you want SD or HD? Sorry but more information is required

thanks for the reply, i was just wondering whats out there in that area of the world. i come from america where theres not much in the way of true fta. what im looking for mostly is english programming in sd. i might also be interested in learning about what receivers have the best support in the way of decryption although im not sure of the site rules on that one. im told theres lots of unencrypted channels out there anyways. i'll be using a motor so it doesnt matter if i want several satellites but not sure how it works in europe which receivers are best for multiple locations

You can take a subscription to the Bulgarian package (DigitALB) and the provider can help you with either a dedicated receiver or a better model with support for Conax? and other encryption systems)
digitalb channel lineup and frequencies
It is/was a popular package in the UK and relatively cheap.
No point in wasting your time looking to open channels for free, as there are very few now that are compromised.
Once you have a valid subscription, you will not have time to waste on this route.

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

DigitAlb is Albanian HB. Bulgarian TV is on 1W, having some FTA and some encrypted in the DigiTV, currently open package. This package will not be open for too long though.

For English language TV you may find life difficult, you may be able to receive some from Astra 28.2 with a 1.2m dish, but the best FTA English language channels are on the Astra 2D spot beam for which you will require a much larger dish.

thanks alot everyone these are some great ideas i may also hook my twinhan card up and play around. looks like to agree with everyone above i need a 2 meter dish! heh.. in all honesty something like bulsatcom would be all i need the package is dirt cheap compared to american satellites but i dont speak bulgarian all that well and theres few english in there. popovp- the receiver you recommend is thta like one in america where you load a firmware to decrypt those signals or are they already in the clear? for a receiver i was told a dreambox has the best support although im not sure at all about this.

All channels above , exept 4.8E, Digi TV pakage 0.8W, AJSpotrs+1-4 7W and Fox TV 12.5W(Biss coded) are FTA. Take care with Dreambox 500S – somebody say that not enough el.power to rotate successfully H-H motor.
