Exclamation Kaon 570 vs MVISION HD200 HD

Hello

Just wanted to ask what’s the difference between a kaon ksc 570 FTA reciever (old version), and a MVISION HD200 HD.

Im in Ireland and this item Mvision promises that it can provide my local TV stations RTE1/2 TV3 and TG4.

So Im confused how come there not fta or how can this Mvision box pick them up and mine cant is it a firmware problem with my kaon,
or may I also ask what is firmware and what does it do, other than update the box I somewhat confused.

As I thought FTA was FTA and the rest you can’t get well you’re not allowed to get!!

As I said RTE1/2 TV3 and TG4 are FTA but I really don’t know how to get them other than getting my Analogue aerial out.
SO now theres a way to get my tv stations how can I get them with my kaon.

So any advice would be mighty

Thanks chaps

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 6 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/10E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

All 4 RTE stations are only available via subscription on satellite.

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

Exactly.

Not FTA at all .

I'm not familiar with the MVison HD200, but perhaps it is one of those elite group of Receivers that can read a Sky Card?

That would be the only way it could get you RTE.

no sky card needed this guy says.

I don’t know I thought that was correct all rte was subscription.

but this box MVISION can do it without card I don’t know, so then I thought it could be done with my kaon box but I reset it and tried RTEs and I got the same as always NDS.
So this box is claiming it can show RTE I just want to find out can it and why does it do it.
And if I can change my kaon to suit.

so if anyone has one lets us know

Ok Chaps

I got a hold of this man selling the stuff.
And the reason that you can pick up my local stations, is that A Terrestrial MPEG4 H.264 DTT digibox,
Why I don’t know but if someone has a reason great.

So then I did some research and then I got Viaccess NP4 Cam. Ideal Irish, Danish DTT MPEG4- MPEG2!

So know I was thinking could I fit this into my box?

And I am a real novice, when I buy this cam does it cost me every year. how does it work to get me my stations, and why wouldn’t a normal viaccess cam work??

I know I should be on another thread but I thought its somewhat related as I am a dummy with this stuff.

Im willing to be corrected on this, but as far as I understand the mpeg4 cam is for the new DTT transmissions. If you are in the coverage area for the new DTT services then a DTT box that acceps such a cam would give you the channels.

It certainly wont work in a satellite box though.
