My System: Astra + Hotbird humbox receiver
humax settings issue

hi, this is my very first post so sorry if i post this q in the wrong section.
my problem: i have a humax but if i try to upload settings to my humax(with humbox toolbox) it connects with the receiver but stops immidiatly...(it transfers a few bytes but then stops)
has anyone heard of this problem?

My System: 80cm dish, Pace MSS500 (analog) 19e 1m dish, SG-100 motor, Dark Gold 0.1. Pace MSP 200, Humax F1 VACI

Not had that problem..
Are you sure you have a crossover serial cable (aka Null Modem) - pins 2 and 3 should be crossed over, 7 and 8 doesn't matter.
In the options>Port tab did you set the port to the COM port you are using and also set the baud rate to 115200? Then does Humbox recognise your Humax box on the Model tab?

thx for replying.

i'm sure the data cable isn't the problem because i can download from humax but can't upload the settings to humax, even when the settings remain unchanged.
