My System: labgear receiver (screwfix special)
labgear receiver can i un encrypt by entering codes etc ?

hi all , i know this receiver has had a few questions asked all ready but here,s another , the screwfix special works as it is ment to , but my original idea without any knowledge or experience was to pick up some Slovak channels for my wife , tv joj and tv markiza , i found satellite but now realise they are encrypted , the labgear box only has a card slot and a rs232 9 pin port , spoke to a big satellite store who want me to purchase another box from them for them to preset codes into there box at a cost of about £100 , now being a very cynical person unless there is a proper reason ,can the codes not be entered into my box , they say no but won,t say why please advise without to my jargon please thans spence

My System: Dreambox 7020si, Technomate TM600, Technomate TM9100 Fracarro Penta 85 Dish, Televes 0.6dB Quad lnb, TM SG2200 motor. 60cm Channel Master BSB dish on 28e, Mti Blueline 0.2db Twin Lnb. Rover ST-4 Meter Cyfra+ Subscription

It all depends on if your receiver has any modified firmware available for it. The modified firmware usually emulates encryptions like Nagra2 or Seca All you do is enter the keys needed in the relevent section in the menu usually

I don't think there is any modified firmware available for your receiver in all honesty, so it looks like you may need to replace it.

The Technomate receivers have very good support so i would be looking at one of them

Sanity is nothing more than an excuse to be boring

The first question you need to answer is "are there any codes available for CS Link"

I rather suspect there arent and you will need an official subscription

Most sellers wont know what you are on about

Be advised theres almost nothing open on illicit firmware / codes / keys these days.

It is very simple regarding Pay channels.

There are packages and channels that are currently hacked (open) and there are ones that are not.

Mostly at the moment, there is hardly anything that is open. If what you want is not open, you can't have it unless you subscribe.

Anything Free to air, and if we get a signal for it, isn't a problem.

As Im pretty sure CS Link isnt open on any sort of hack whatsoever basically you have two choices:

1) buy a subscription

2) do without.
