Cool Very Clever people who are new to DVB-s guide to dishes and LNB

Hi

Can anyone advise please?

I tried putting up a circlar mesh dish earlier today using my sky digital elliptical LNB but dispite lining the dishes up I cld not get a signal out of the LNB on the 80cm dish but it worked fine on the elliptical shape Sky minidish. Can you please explain why this is.

Is the LNB set to the dish shape or is it my 80cm dish

thanks

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

The LNb is designed specifically for the minidish, they will produce some sort of result on a non sky dosh, but they are not ideal. They are also difficult to mount on the standard dish.
