sky dish usable with echostar ip3000viaccess box?

Any advice/knowledge on this one?

I HAD an 88cm motorised dish wired up to an echostar ipvia3000 box.

I have now moved, and my new landlord will only allow me to erect a sky dish.

Is it possible to use such a dish with my echostar box?

If it is possible, I assume I can point the dish to any satellite of my choice eg hotbird rather than Astra?

I would be interested to hear from others if they have experience of this.

Depending on your location, skydish should be fine for 19.2, I can get hotbird ok with mini dish, with loss of a few channels in bad weather. I'm in cheshire.
Would your landlord allow a zone 2 mini dish?

With a sky dish only the most powerfull sats can be picked up 13E and 19E, and even then you might not see all the channels.

Prof-Is your dish a zone 2 or just the standard 45cm sky job?

I'm not sure about a zone 2 dish...I would have to ask....

Hi satsearcher!

I live in Hampshire/Surrey border and have a zone2 dish. I can get astra19E (90%), and hotbird13E (80%). I think you might struggle with a zone1 for hotbird.

DON'T ASK - he'll have an excuse to say no.

He's already said you can put up a $ly dish so what's the problem with putting one up - albeit slightly larger?

A Zone 2 dish will make ll the difference in the world to the number of satellites you can receive.
