My System: FortecStar 5100 Ultra FortecStar LifeTime Classic
swedish channels

I am interested in purchasing the Techomate 5500D motorized system with 110cm all for £330 (Please click on the link below to view it).

I intend to use the dish for viewing, among others, Swedish channels via THOR/Sirius.
Could you tell me if you think 110cm is a big enough dish as I live in Belfast, N Ireland.

Also, does the receiver allow CAM installs etc?

I have been reading the thread started by MKKID (post below this one) and he seems to be spending a lot more cash and purchasing all the parts seperately.

Is this a better way to do it rather doing a "one stop shop"?

You will need a bigger dish than 1.1 to get all channels from the two positions

Look around for the 1.8 or 2m dishes.

Source locally to save transport costs

Yes a fixed system will work, still 1.8m or above though

What exactly do you want from this system (channels, themes etc ?)
