Question Comag SL55 problem

I have a problem with my Comag SL55.

I have found a CNN feed by entering the settings (12522, H, 19125, and 2/3) all correctly. Bird is 15 west

The Video PID, Audio PID, PCR PID and TTX PID all set themselves up.

VPID 257
APID 263
PCRPID 8190
TTXPID 8191

The picture is brilliant, but I haven't any audio.

I have taken advice from a few people who admit they know nothing about a Comag.

I was advised to change the APID to match the PCRPID (No difference)

Then I changed it the other way round (PCRPID now 263) and it works perfectly. However when I exit 'Modify PIDS' it doesn't save the new settings and reverts the PCRPID back to 8190 and I loose audio again.

Does anyone know how to retain the modified settings?

Thanks in advance
Glyn.

I had a few problems with my Comag but moving the dish to Astra 19.2e then doing a software download fixed the problems.

May be worth a try.

Sorted !!

I tried an update, but it said 'No Update Available'.

I thought i'd try something else, I deleted that transponder, turned the power off for a few minutes and then set up the transponder manually (inserting my own PID settings). It found the CNN feed with sound and stored it as it should.

I noticed in the manual it said to cut power and restart after an update so it gave me a slightly different way of doing it , as I had tried to store it manually before but didn't cut the power.

Apart from this one incident I haven't had any trouble at all from my Comag. It only cost £49.99 from Lidl and I have had a great deal of fun with it, it was worth every penny. It does help having a website like this, full of people offering advice.

Thanks for your help, it didn't solve it, but it pointed me in the right direction.
Regards
Glyn.

Thanks - I have the same receiver and it was great value for money - decided to update so it cost me more in the long run - but well worth it!

Try here for more Comag info - post a new thread...

Let me know how you get on - thanks again
