Topfield TF5500PVR Conax getting in the way

I have just bought a Topfield TF5500PVR, and I must say it seems to be (so far) a nice bit of kit!

One slight problem, is that when using other cams in the two spares slots, the selected channel trys to decode using the built in Conax Cam, and the screen displays "no card inserted".

Changing channels or switching off and on, will usually fix this, but this makes the timed recording function very hit and miss!!

Can I disable or disconnect the Conax cam?
Can I force a channel to look at one cam only?

The manual does not cover this, I have sent an email to Topfield, but no reply as yet.

Anyone else had this problem? or can suggest a fix?

Thanks,

Paul

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

Normally if you insert the "guest" CAM in the bottom slot, it will look for that first.
