Which Reciever & Programmer/Decoder

I am a novice looking advice on which receiver to buy. Is there a receiver on the market which has an inbuilt 'decoder' to pick up certain scrambled channels ?

I have the following satellites set up Hotbird, Nilesat 101, 102 PanamSat and AsiaSat. Preferably a multi-card reciever which has easy input of keys for scrambled channels, particularly football.

What equipment and software would I need to programme cards & get keys for scrambled channels ?

At the very least you should buy a receiver with a common interface (CI) slot. This will allow you to add an extra encryption module for most services that you might subscribe to. It can be a good idea to buy a receiver that has a built-in conditional access (CA) module for whichever TV package that you might want to watch; it is usually cheaper than buying a separate module. The Dreambox receiver seems to be the flavour of the moment amongst fans of programming and unofficial software updates (see the dedicated forum).
