lyngsat information

Hi,

Im fairly new to this and have startedd playing around with my reciever to see what i can get. ive been using Lynsat to get the information to enter into my box.
Most of the DVB transponders are already there (except EUrotic TV which i managed to get).
im confused as to some of the numbering when the channel is not DVB

What is the SID
i know what the vpid and Apid are and where to enter them, but my box as a room for a third entry called PCID i think. what do i enter in there?
What is the NID and TID?
Under the audio box some channels have things like 7.02:7.20 what is this?

For DVB i can enter the TP and SR,FEC, VPID and APID but some of the channels have another number before the VPID, what is this used for?

cheers for this. im getting there slowly

hi kebabhino
Some of these acronyms are not of interest to you - for instance SID, NID and TID allow the receiver to identify channels and transponders in the MPEG stream.
PCID - Program clock reference - again you don't need to do anything with this.
The 7.02 and 7.20 are the audio parameters used on analogue transmissions.

Not sure of the number before the VPID on Lyngsat.

thanks for your swift reply."The 7.02 and 7.20 are the audio parameters used on analogue transmissions."

does this mean i cant recieve these channels?

i was after a eurosport channel, not concerned about the language. any ideas.

The PCID is actually on the reciever and it has three boxes, PCID, VPID, APID. the channels that the reciever automatically finds have a number in this box to. do you know what i need to put in there?

Only if you have an analogue receiver.
The PIDS are automatically found when you go to the relevant channel. You can update the appropriate PIDS yourself if they change any time.
There's Eurosport on Hotbird 12.558V but encrypted in Viaccess. Check Lyngsat for others.
