Blindscan And 4.2.2 Receiver

Can anyone who knows well plse recommend for me a good receiver that can decode 4.2.2 transmission and can also carry out blind scan function. I know the fortecsatr 5100 ultra does blind scan but I am not sure if it can decode 4.2.2 transmissions. I presently use an interstar and it can't decode transmissions in 4.2.2. Plse help thanks,

Don't know of a domestic STB that does both, but the Quali TV QS 1080R can apparently resolve 4:2:2 transmissions as well as being HDTV ready, although at £500 a throw it would be a lot cheaper to get a satellite PC card for the 4:2:2 stuff and the Fortec for blind scanning.

Most people here are more than happy with the SKystar2. Cheap'n'cheerful, does most of what you require.

Check the PC Card section on this forum.

You can set ProgDvb to blindscan an SS1/2 by writing your own transponder info for it, or the newer Technotrend drivers have a good scan function in them.

Tandberg Alteia are supposed to be good receivers, althoug being professional rx's are NOT cheap. They turn up on Ebay occasionally.
