My System: 32 " LG with built in 160 g recorder and digital terestrial Tv with twin tuner - 85cm Penta dish Humax HD 2000 ci and Nanoxx hd 9500 receivers - all linked to my computer and 7 digital speakers with subwoofer

Does anyone know anything about how to receive the "Powervu"
transmissions, I have a Force 1145s which is supposed to be able to get these signals so do I have to get a card and where from?

Please post in the correct place (you had posted this in "forum announcements and news" and in an existing thread about the new computer forum...)

PowerVu is not an encryption system, it is a compression format, like MPEG. I am not aware of any MPEG receivers (such as your Force) that can also handle PowerVu.

PowerVu transmissions can be encrypted or unencrypted, just as MPEG transmissions can be. To receive them you will need a special PowerVu receiver.

Use the Search function on this board and you'll find more info on this.

To receive PowerVu channels you need special power vu receiver and also legal subsription since PW channels cant be opened with any cards.
Cheapest receivers goes from 500 euros up.
