My System: Patched Technomate 7655 nokia 9600 Manhattan Starlight MX Matrix Reloaded Cam Moteck SG-2100 H-H Motor | Hi can anyone tell me how i can use the SCSI interface on the 9600s. I have read that you can plug a HDD or a CD drive to it but i cannot find any info as to how they are connected or powered. If it is possible to connect a HDD can films progs Ect be recorded direct to the disk, if so how.

| The SCSI is a different connector to the RS232 item. I know that other receivers designed about the same time had to have a SCSI port on them for some regulation, and it was touted as a useful feature on the box and manual. But I dont know where you might get the firmware to activate the port, in very much the same way as the Sky digibox CI slot | ||

My System: DreamBox 7000s - Nokia Freeview - Several GameBoys - DS Lite - ZX81 - SNES - N64 - Sega Saturn Dreamcast - PlayStation - Gamecube - PSP - iPod - iPhone - XBox - PS3 - Wii - No Life! | The user guide does mention that it can be used 'For a CD-ROM player or other high speed data equipment'. Download user guide here... _http://www.nokia.com/cda1/0,1080,1947,00.html SCSI drives are older (now mostly IDE) and they are more expensive, may be worth a call to Nokia before you try one.

I'm sure someone told me that you could use to flash software with DrOverflow though.

Most are not in English, haven't found any that mention connecting a HDD for recording.

| You can buy old PCI scsi cards very cheaply from Ebay Then use programs like DVBrecorder to record to your PC's hard drive. It's a big subject. I suggest your read through no-access.de site for the detailed information (the Hardware section is a good place to start) as there are many pitfalls. | ||

My System: FTE Max, Skystar2.3 and Skystar2.6, 2.2m Kinhuge Dish with Inverto LNB and Invacom ADF-120 feedhorn. Pace 1.3.25 and 80cm for Sky. |
An alternative would be to use ProgDVB with the 'nokia plug in', the advantage of this is that in theory you could simply add an emulator in the ProgDVB root directory and decode using the latest keys. Whatever you do I would recommend Windows 98 as the most compatable O/S.
