Can somebody please tell me if this receiver is worth buying, i believe it can be patched!

Any advice on this receiver would be greatly appriciated, thanks

My System: Sky HD, TM6800HD, Manhattan Plaza ST550 and TM1500 CI+. 1.0m dish and 36v motor, Panasonic DVD HDD recorder and Panasonic video/DVD recorder. Sony G800 HD TV stand/surround system + Sony KDL40W2000. Infinity USB, Elvis, CAS1, CAS2.

Did you mean the 5500 DAPCI? It may well be discontinued. Did you have a particular need to receive analogue as well as digital?

go for the 1000 range...the 5000 series have been discontinued

Its just i picked a 5500 ci super for next to nothing, and i wondered if it could be patched, does anyone else still use this receiver?

I've had mine about a year - a great piece of kit - HotBird, Astra, and Sky via a 90cm dish and 3 Lnb's - Sky feed is direct to Panasonic box.
