My System: Technomate 7750
Technomate 7750 2VA 2CI error code 8

I have just plugged in my new Technomate 7750 reciever today and with eager anticipation flicked on the power switch.

The led display shows 'On' for a few seconds and the standby light flashes the the display shows ERR8. The system locks up and the reciever ignores the handset.

Am I missing something really obvious here? Can anyone help?

Any advice greatly appreciated

A bit late I know but to anyone else who has this problem.
Go to Technomate site get the latest downloads and upload it to the receiver.

It started workin for me after that.

Hi Kevin

not a good sign. No, this should not be happening. Is it possible that your supplier has provided other than the original firmware for this reciever?

I see you as having 2 options

-you could download the original firmware from the Technomate website into your reciever
-you can contact your supplier, if you don't want to take any risks, and arrange for replacement.

i know what either you or your supplier has done...they either:

downloaded the wrong software

or

did not wait until the software fully downloaded (i.e. when the BOOT disappears from the receiver's front panel screen)
