Hey everyone, I just had what everyone does not want to happen to there recievers. My humax 5400z was running fine on hotbird then all of a sudden the channel goes out and there is no power to the front of the display. Switching the power off and on from the back of the unit does not help. When I try to turn on the receiver I can hear a soft clicking noise that does not stop. My question is this. Did my power supply just bit the dust or is there another problem? Has anyone come across this problem before and what did you do to bring your humax back from the dead. I hope someone can help because I have no tv till I get this resolved. Samba65

My System: 60cm dish, dual LNB, Topfield TF5010PVR | I had a 2 week old Humax 9100 that did the same, though I heard no soft clicking, however that may be due to my hearing problem. I sent it back and for another reason am replacing it with a Topfield. Anyway the supplier has sent it back to Humax and beleives that it is a total software system failure. That has not been confirmed but as he is experienced on Humax, in my case, I think he is probably right.

Blog Entries: 5 My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser. | Normally a ticking sound indicates a power supply fault.
