My System: Technomate 1500 CI+ Super and Sky Digital

I'm not 100% sure but I think it's LNB short-circuit protection as my 1500ci super does it too.

You might have a whisker of the outer braid of the co-ax touching the inner thus causinf a short. Or water might have got into the "F" plus causing a short.

Correct..

We had this problem with the laguna sat meter.. if there is a short it turns off..

Most occasions it was the braid touching the stinger.. check both ends.. if not try another lnb.
