Reciever For Cyprus.

Sorry if i seem a bit fick, but after losing BBC on Sky i have the option to recieve BBC Prime here in eastern Cyprus (Ayia Napa) using a 1m dish instead of the usual 3m one i needed to get Sky. I think this is on the Hotbird satellite.

I'm wondering what would be a good receiver to buy and what should i know before jumping into it, re cards, upgrades etc etc that i absolutely know nothing about. I've scoured the net and found ad's for Humax 5400Z reciever which has software to3.0 whatever that means (explain if poss). Are the available cards upgradeable if channel changes encryption etc.

I really don't know anything about this system at all so if anyone can help me and advise on what i should be looking out for, it would help me a great deal.
Thanks.

Kool,
