My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Spectrum analyser.

Don't think it is patchable, so it will depend what cards or CAM you put in it.

Afraid I'm not really up on what is about with regard to embedded receivers, I seem to have buried my head in the sand a little since getting the Dreambox.

My System: Astra/Hotbird

hi,

i've recently bought a technisat digit mf4-s and i'm not very satisfied with it.
it is simply impractical because it has only got one favourites list which is limited to 999 channels. the navigation is also limited to "all" "provider" and "favourites" (no alphabetical nav). especially with a 3-sat system these limitations can be a nuisance. i'm also using a matrix rbn with it and 1/3 of the time the stb crashes whilst initializing the cam. can't tell you about t-rex, but it might be the same problem.
my advice: get a technomate 1000-series or smth similar. they are cheap, patchable and have an embedded conax cam (at least i think)
hope that helps...

tschuess,

marty
