Need more information.

1/ What tuning details are you using
2/ Do you get a signal strength in the tuning menu.

Hi,

2 ways to get the same result :

by using the menu : search on 1 satellite , choosing Astra 28E
After the whole search , the receiver final setting gives all the channels of 28 East position , but anyone of the Astra 2D , including BBC frequencies.

by using the search menu , the frequency correctly set up , then FEC and SR values correctly updated , no signal bar appears.
At the opposite , doing the same with the SkyNews frequency , I get immediatly a signal bar as for strong signal.

Waiting for help

Bye
J

Please say what tuning details you are using when trying to receive BBC 1 to 4 channels.

There are many different transponders for BBC channels on 28°e, have you tried them all?

They are the correct settings for a standard universal LNB.

Also I assume you have DiSEqC set to 1 in the tuning menu, but worth checking this. Have you checked the problem frequencies on another satellite?

There is no reason why you should not get channels from 10714 H to 10936 V on Astra2. You will have to work through everything yourself to isolate the problem.

My System:

I had some recent problems with the BBC channels on my Nokia MM9602 using DVB2000 myself. The thing is that the box apparently won't stop sending the 22 kHz signal to the LNB despite (almost) any low band frequency (10,700 – 11,700 MHz) being entered, and therefore the box is (almost) always switched to the high band (11,700 – 12,750 MHz) and it cannot tune the low band channels.

The strange way I found out of this is to play a bit with the DiSEqC settings, i.e. change from A to either B or C (but not D). Somehow that removes the 22 kHz signal on my Nokia box and voilà the low band channels (BBC, ITV etc) reemerge (i.e. assuming you are not connected to more than one sat via a DiSEqC switch). Note that you will have to save this setting for each channel on the low band.
