Unhappy Help setting up an FTA reciever for 28.2 Astra

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and I hope that there is someone to help me. A friend gave me a new STYX F-8000 reciever, but no manual.
Can anyone advise me how to set it up?
first of all it asks me to set up the LNB. this I set to universal.
next I am asked to choose the diseqc, but seeing as I only have 1 LNB what should I set it to? it has A,B,C,D or off.
next is 22KHZ. should this be on or off?
next is 0/12v. should this be on or off?
next is diseqc positioner. should this be 1.2,1.3 or off?
next is LNB power. should this be on or off?
finally, which transponder should I start my search at and should it be vertical or horizontal and 22000 or 27500?
any help appreciated. thanks

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

A little patience goes a long way.

With most receivers, the default settings will be correct for single satellite operation, all you should need to do is select the approriate satellite and scan.

Is the dish already set up for Astra 28.2E?

If you haven't already found the satellite, then you can pick any transponder from this list and then move the dish Eastward and down slightly for 28.2. The settings for LNB etc, should be the same as the other satellite you have been viewing.
