My System: Ad3000ipvia
Ad 3000

Where can I obtain the bootstrap file for early AD3000IP viaccess
It was purchased in 1998 Software level 100 and has never been any trouble till I tryed to download latest software last week
( trying to fix the hanging up on Hotbird issue )
IRD now has "boot" message on front display panel after I downloaded the bootstrap from echostar but cannot get it to accept ant further software versions. Been told that there is an early bootstrap file for these early version, But Echostar have removed from WebSite ?

All attempts at download come with error message "M3000_Func"
and another Invalid protocool "M3000_Header2

Echostar Holland advise "Make sure I am using correct software" !

Any help would be greatfully appreciated - Frustrated viewer

Thx for a great site !

RobyD.

Try the web archive & put the echostar site into it - you might get lucky.

Problem sorted !

A change of the PC doing the download, done the trick
its important that com port, Port settings and Baud rate are correct
I was using a new notebook that did not have a RS232 Serial port connector
So I tryed to use USB to Serial port adapter - hence the problems
An older type notebook with serial port attached done the trick
Baud rate set as low as 9600. half an hour for each download as I did not jump straight to version 1000 - It was along Night !

Thx

Glad to hear you are sorted.Despite being a few years old the Echostar 3000's are still excellent machines. (ive got a 5 year old AD3000IPVA still in daily use)
