My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

I wouldn't touch a Manhattan with a bargepole, have read too many negative reports from other hobbyists.

Varied reports on the Technomates, but mostly good.

The original designs wernt so bad, (analogue or digital), I still use one badged on a Winersat design.

Dont forget the nature of the STB beast is 'smaller, cheaper, faster'. The speed of advance in the industry these days (hours ?) means that if the branded product has a quirk/bug/faulty component/indifferent aftermarket support, which all the last Mnahattans appear to have been reported on, then the company becomes a dinosaur.

Technomate also have quirks, but the praises outweigh the criticisms so far

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"

My System: Dm500, TM9100, Pace Sky+ box, 1M Dish. Motect 2100.. 43Inch Plasma, Wii, PS2.

Stay clear of manhattans.. the boxes are crap and so is their aftersales..

I bought an MX which turned out to have a falty atmel chip, caused it to reboot ect.. email manhattan and they said send back and we will give a price.. they wouldnt budge on the new 16 day thing..

Now i have a technomate 1500ci super
