My System: 1m Dish with sky box in Tenerife, Standard sky system and cable tv in the UK not very impressive but i am working on it. | Is it possible to read the firmware from a DVB-S receiver without removing the eeprom, I do have the Willam programmer and have removed and dumped eeproms before without any problems, but the receiver belongs to a mate who’s not happy with me removing the eeprom. The receiver has the RS232 port and the manufactures supply software to save the channel files and also update the existing firmware but I am wanting to read the whole of the eeprom is this possible? This is a copy of the log file after I updated the exiting firmware on my receiver. terminal successfully opened ready [0;1;40;32m[2J *********************************************** ** SUC (StartUpControl)1.7 by ** ** (C) LASAT GMBH v.Nov 17 2005 ** *********************************************** MBxx800B found T->0x12345678 ---Command List------------- 100 Load Application 200 Print Version 300 Start Application 400 Display this screen 500 Upload Ch_Data Start Download Buffer is at 0x00060000 Send file in binary mode binary mode found found we send file chlist.app sent file chlist.app ready 45804 Send exit Check HeaderIdx ->00000000 at 0x00060000 ptImage->Size :0000B2D0 ptImage->ZipSize :00000000 ptImage->StartAddress:07090000 ptImage->ZipedCrc :00000000 ptImage->UnzipedCrc DA863A57 File OK!!
