My System: Lidl 0.8m dish and Sky dish with 4LNB's 28E 19E 13E and 7E, Skystar2 PC card Also Sky digibox for FTA channels |
I have tried without success, to view transmissions of NASA TV broadcast by the ESA from Atlantic Bird 1 at 12.5W. They are showing pictures from the current shuttle mission to the ISS. I can see the regular channels, so I know I'm on the right satellite, however, I cannot see anything on the relevant frequency and settings: "Transmission details:Eutelsat Atlantic Bird at 12.5 degrees West Transponder F5, channel D horizontal, F=12.652 MHz, SR=6.1113 Ms/sec, FEC=3/4" (see http://television.esa.int for more info) Maybe its because its a "SCPC feed" meant for broadcasters with big dishes? My system is an 80cm dish and a Skystar 2 PC card. Any help would be appreciated, Neil West Lothian

A while ago I signed up to a mailing list on the ESA TV website, and the latest mailing says: "The next transmission of the ESA TV Service will be: 15-Sep-06 21:00 - 21:30 GMT Flight Day 7 Highlights of Mission STS-115 Background information on the transmission: Friday 15 September will see the third and final space walk of Shuttle Mission STS-115 - again a source of stunning footage from space. NASA provides daily flight day highlights for all Shuttle Missions. These are B-rolls with the best images from the past 24 hours, and of the key mission milestones. ESA-TV provides a rebroadcast of these Flight Day Four highlights in time for late evening and breakfast news programmes. Please note that NASA-TV programming is subject to last-minute schedule changes. Please note that the line-up time for this SCPC feed is 5 minutes." I'll give it another go tomorrow and see how it goes. Neil
