My System: Technomate 1500CI 'MONOBLOC' LNB FOR ASTRA & HOTBIRD Mortek DISEQC 1.2 MOTOR Triax 88 cm Dish
Question 2 CI vs 1 Ci + 1 card reader

Hi Everyone!

I am torn between 2 digital receivers from Technomate: 1500CI and 1600 2CI.
The only difference between the 2 is one has 2CI and the other 1CI and 1 card reader.
My question is: What is better and why?

My System: IDD CI24 ECONO MM Penta 1.20 Galaxy II 1.2Mtr Polar MTG yes it has been on the arc for 21 years and is still driven by a modified wiper motor from a Ford Anglia. It's like me sometimes groans but always performs

Better in which respect?
What are your criteria?
Picture quality?
Speed of channels search?
ability to be flashed?
The colour of the box?

i guess at end of the day it all comes down to what encryption type the receiver with 1 card slot has - and will it be of use to you

2 ci slots are a useful thing - i just decided to get my self an echostar 2100 ci (it got 2 ci slots and viaccess slot) - as some of you may know i've had ups and downs with regarding to satellite receivers

Hi, do you know any receiver with embedded Nagra2?
I've seen a receiver called Delta 2C by Fortec in Maplin but the people in the store has no ideia what is viaccess, Nagravision etc.
I would like to watch a brazilian channel and they use nagravision 2.
At the moment I am using my Sky box.
Thank you.
