Smile car boot sale joy...need some advice

hello all
today while walking around my local carboot i cameacross a dvb-s pvr..so i took a risk it was only 20 quid
problem is all i know is an Xtreme pvr it has an 80 gig hdd single tuner 2 ca's and one embedded,, and yes it is all working ok. i was just wondering if.....

a..someone can help me ident this reciever.
b..point me in the right direction to some tools ectect.

it looks just like the hornet xtreme pvr on the outside..same out puts ectect c

on the ca menu cas slot one is showing as penta 1.09

and in system information it is showing this

I was planning on going to my local carboot sale today!!! And now I really wish I did!!!

An 80gb PVR for £20 is a steal!!!

My System: Smart lnb, 1m Gibby dish, Stab motor, TM5200D receiver, 57east to 61west. DTT from Sudbury. Virgin Media broadband.

well i have it set up and it seams to be all ok :d
pulled the 80 gig drive and replaced it with a 250gig wd 7500rpm and its flying on that side.
i just need to learn how to use it ..and see if it can be patched in any way shape or kind..

p.s it looks like this one Xtreme XTSC-520 UH (PVR ready)

so what is this box like...is it a good starting point for 20 quid, and how do i upgrade the firmware,,
i am use to sorting out my skystar 2 kit but this is very new to me ..

advice please kind people lol

ok i have the null modem cable i have the channel editor tools and the correct flashing tool, can anyone give me any advice on what firmware i need,

i know this box is a bit old but im impressed pic quality and channel change speed..

Why change what's working well?

My old Nokia 9800s is on the last F/W update that I know of (MA2.0), and it's working perfectly as-is, so I see no reason to change it...

well you are right but its only 20 quids worth, and i just want to get it updated as best as possible.and then leave it alone..im now looking at motors new dish and lmb to go with it.
thou my old aldi 80cm dish and sharp white is doing a good job :d..
i do think i have been bitten again by the sat tv bug...again..

so now the question is

what dish what motor and what lmb for under 100 quid ?

and what cam

hello again.
fresh back from glastonbury festival.
i was hopeing this rx could be patched in any way is there anyone who can help me, before i get in the relms of cams cards and programmers..

any help plz..

ps the bbc hd uplink dish is hekking huge :O
