Hi there, I'm a bit new to all this so apologies if this is a dumb question. I've recently installed a dish and Fortec star receiver. Everything is working fine, picking up channels and have a good picture. The problem is channel 4 is appearing with a $ sign next to it and is unviewable? I thought channel 4 was a free channel? Is there any way I can watch channel 4? Many thanks.

It's free to view if you have a Sky digibox and appropriate card. Llew

This'll open FTV channels and any others you subscribe to. Llew

A CAM is a module that slides into the STB's CI slot to allow the MPEG decoder in the receiver to open the encrypted channels (usually with a provider's smartcard). The Dragon is a multicrypt CAM, and is able to allow decoding of various provider platforms either with a smart card (in this case S*Y) or can be 'flashed' with various files to open up other providers.
