My System: 90cm dish motek sg 2100 humax 5400
Humax 5400

Hi
I am a nebie on this site but not to satellite as i had a working system at my old address which was 4 years ago, i am going to set up a system again when the weather calms down, my question is i turned on my humax to try out my motec motor and i noticed that on the stb menu the ci slots are not recording the cams i am putting in is this because it is patched and the patch overides these cam slots. The humax is a fairly new addition as i have and used a nokia 9600 and an old X Sat

When you say 'not recording' , do you mean not recognising ?

The Humax (especially earlier versions) was very particular over voltage drain, and some of the later PCMCIA designs are power hungry, especially the Dragon types.

What have you put in the front slots ?

It could be the patching as you say which is disabling the CI slots. What does either CAM have over the patched embedded slot ?

You may be able to revert the receiver back to standard / factory form using the Humax site, and try again.
