My System: Aerail & Satellite Services |
Hi I'm Barry Armstrong, I install/repair aerial and satellite systems and would like to know if its at all possible to receive south african tv channels via satellite eg mnet; dstv; sabc; etv etc. These are not listed in what sat mag but are listed on lyngsat at eutelsat 36 degrees. From what I can gather we won't receive these but can anyone shed some light on this ie if they can be received and what equipment will be required to do so? Area in question is saundersfoot near tenby - west wales. Many thanks

Blog Entries: 5 My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser. | You would need of 3m or bigger for that satellite, but if you have friends or family in South africa who are on broadband and you also have broadband, then you could consider going the Slingbox route and watch the channels over the internet.
