My System: Andrews 1.2 dish. Inverto LNB. Matched feedhorn. Technomate 6800 |
I am deciding on whether to have a 1.2 or 1.5 dish. I think (if I have worked it out right) the elevation for Bournemouth is 32 degrees, +or-. If correct I am able to have the 1.5 dish because of the angle it will not show above the window. I am trying to work out what depth of wall bracket I need for a motorised system. I have seen a 2 ft deep one which looks sturdy. I did try to suss it out with a round piece of cardboard but the other half got fed up with holding it at the angle whilst I turned it. Unable to find the answer in the foruns. Thanks.

My System: Andrews 1.2 dish. Inverto LNB. Matched feedhorn. Technomate 6800 | Many thanks. I will have to give it a go, although I can access the wall from a flat roof so its just waiting for a still day.

A Bigsat BS-S77CX and a Sky Dodgibox. | Hi, You should be able to get a rough assessment by doing a 'scale' drawing. Noting how far the bracket sticks out from the back of the dish, how far the motor sticks out, and the relative position of your wall to due south, beforehand. Robbo | ||

My System: Andrews 1.2 dish. Inverto LNB. Matched feedhorn. Technomate 6800 | Thanks for the replies. Umable to put the dish where I thought as it would hit the wall on the east location, unless I use a long standoff. But will put on another wall.

My System: Andrews 1.2 dish. Inverto LNB. Matched feedhorn. Technomate 6800 | Thanks Llew.... Not even sure what size dish yet but it will be an Andrews with 36v motor. I worked out whare the dish need to point to W to E from info on the web. it never stated what band so I do not know the W to E limits on each band. The more I read the more I forget..must be old age.
