My System: Andrews 1.2 dish. Inverto LNB. Matched feedhorn. Technomate 6800 | Spent ages reading these forums for info and advice and here is my intended setup. I face SW and intend placing the dish on the corner of a flat roofed building. This will give me 30 degrees E and W of south. Strapped to the wall with Hypex wall mount and pole above flat roof. The dish I chose was an Andrews 1.2 offset. Motor is a Jaeger 1224. Not sure if a prime focus would be better due to some large trees about 25 m away but should miss these. I thought offset meant the elevation was set lower. Matched feed horn but unsure of the LNB. Did consider a Fracarro 1.2 dish but unable to find much info on its quality and the fitting of a Jaeger 1224. The coax cable is WF 125 but maybe WF 100 will do for a 30 m run which will be in conduit. Receiver is a Technomate TM6900 HD. Looked at several others but I am no whiz kid and it’s a hobby, not a daily test of my brain capabilities. OK anything I missed and do pick it to bits, as it’s better now than later. All criticism and advice welcome. Not rich by any means but you get what you pay for.

No mention of a V-box or do I need to read it again?

My System: 1.2M & 55cm Gregorian Dish`s, 1.5m Gibertini on a Jaeger 1224 H-H motor. Dreambox 7025 200gb HD, Vbox-II. SS2 Card. | Good choice of dish and motor, they go great together ![]() Get the matched feed for the dish, and add an Inverto or invacom C120 lnb for great results. You will need a vbox as Topper has suggested, unless the Technomate has a 36v positoner

My System: 90cm channel master, jaeger 1224 ,vantage x221tsci, skystar 2, diablo v2.3, setanta on 60cm minidish | andrews 1.2m on 1224 motor will be a very nice setup, good cable choice the 1224 motor will need a 3inch diameter pole lnb wise then an inverto c120 will be good choice if its on a flat roof then one of them ground mounts will work and weight it down with some paving slabs jaeger 1224 motor can be bought from hm-sat.de for 119 euro much cheaper than uk price

My System: Andrews 1.2 dish. Inverto LNB. Matched feedhorn. Technomate 6800 | Thankyou for the info so far and the 1224 motor price. I do not want to do the same as I did when I built my computer, had bits over because they were not compatable. What a waste. Just waiting for the rain to stop and its fitting the conduit first job.
