My System: Dreambox 7020s, ChannelMaster 1.2m, Edon Vbox
Problems with freq. on 19e (and 5 east)

i'm having problems with this transponder on 19.2e

12,633.25 MHz, FEC: 5/6, Symbolrate: 22000

but all others are fine is it interference or the dreambox tuner? i've ordered a new invacom LNB (0.3dB) for my channelmaster 1.2m and we're laying a new armoured cable as it is a 20 odd meter run which should hopefully sort out the problems we are having with 5 east (37dB loss on the cable)

Cheers,
Chris

ps. i'm located mid north wales

Just a guess

Have you tried switching off at the base of your dect phone (assuming you have one) and also the handset then trying the channel? It has been known before

Seems it was the LNB that was faulty on that specific frequency

will have to wait for the new invacom before i start doing tests on 5e. what do you guys rekon my chances of receiving Vertical on 5 east will be?

Cheers,
chris

Haha

Yeah its the second to last.

I'm after the whole viasat package really, but i'm having problems with all channels on the Nordic beam. (BSS and FSS europe are Ok). Hopefully the new lay of cable will help improve the signal quality, but if its required i will upgrade the dish. I used to get (with the sharp 0,3dB LNB which is still on now but is apparently broken according to my mate who came over and checked it with his sat meter) the following:-11881 H - Worked Pretty Well
11804 H - Worked pretty well
12637 H - 12380 H - 12034 H - not quite as good quality but still worked ok most of the time.

All verticals were dead

Now with the sharp 0,3dB lnb -- i get nothing on the nordic beam.. (not sure if this down to the death of Sirius 2 or my LNB going dodgy)

I've ordered the Invacom 0,3dB and i'm getting some ct125 cable which should help reduce the 37dB loss along the line. (although as i've said it is a relatively long run-- longer than average.)

i was just wondering whether this would be enough for stable horizontal frequency's and what would be required for stable verticals too.

Bring on Sirus 4, hopefully it should boost fringe reception abit

Cheer,s
chris

befor you go out and bye any thing try rottateing your lnb 90 % and set the vertical channels to horizontal

you know the horizontal side is working but dont know about the vertical
so by turning lnb 90 % you will have swapped it around the horizontal will now be set to vertical
and vertical will now be set to horizontal
and while you are up at the dish re do the f plug on both ends of the coax

this is just for test uses
