Remote Astra Dish Channels Watch

Here is the situation:
I want to install a fixed dish for Astra 19.2E size 1.8-2.0m, but I can't put it in my roof because of limited space and neighbours.

There might be a possibility to install it in another building's roof about 300m away with access to a room in one of the floors there.
Assuming the installation of the dish, cable and receiver goes well, my problem now is how to watch all the FTA channels from my apartment.
I mean how can I select any channel and watch it on my PC or TV ?

Is it possible with:

1 - Slingbox
Can the Slingbox be remotely controlled or will it only show the preset channel on the remote receiver ?

2 - VLFC streaming
Can the channels be remotely selected and what kind of ADSL speed do I need to get a good quality picture (Dowload and Upload on the remote and home connections).

3 - Any other ideas ?

If a solution proves to be too expensive, I might go for the last resort of installing it in my roof and give the neighbours a cable with Astra channels running straight to their living room, and they would buy a receiver if they want to watch. Can't be fairer than this I would think.
In this case what kind of distribution system would you recommend for 16 users (5 floors x 3 apartments/floor + 1 spare for me for recording)
Thanks.

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

How about a Dreambox and a Wifi connection, would work if you have line of sight to the other building.

I might have a line of site to the dish since the building is high and I can put the dish where I can see it from home, but the room with the receiver is not visible.
Isn't 300m too far for a reliable wifi connection ?

Not if you use a good antenna.

How far from the room to the roof?

Please elaborate on how the system would look like.

If I understand correctly:

In remote building:
1 - Dish in remote building, preferably in the same side and EXACTLY above the room.
2 - Cable running down to room and connects to receiver.
3 - Receiver is a Dreambox model cheapest 500S.
4 - WiFi router which connects to the receiver Ethernet connector.
5 - Use external antenna so that Wifi connection is good for distance of 300m.
6 - PC in room doesn't have to be ON once the router is configured.

At home:
1 - Use PC to control the remote Dreambox 500S to select channels since it has a unique IP and using http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
2 - Stream to PC using Ngrab

Is this what you have in mind or am I missing something here ?
Thanks.

If you already have a wireless router, then you only need a wireless bridge at the Dreambox end. You would of course need to watch the dreambox on your PC.

Thanks rolf, I will certainly consider this possibility.
I will start by checking the Wifi connection between the two locations and see how it goes.

Reception through a glass wall

Has anybody tried to receive strong satellites with a 1m dish through a glass wall or is the attenuation by the glass material makes it impossible ?
