Smile Help ! I'm going nuts !

Hi all.

I'm trying to install a dish using a Digisat Pro signal measurer but I can't get the darn thing to give me any sort of response. It seems like there isn't a signal coming from the Dreambox as I'm not getting a green indicator when I connect to the Moteck drive. I've done a continuity test on the cable which seems ok, the only thing I can think of is the software isn't configured correctly or is corrupted.
Can anybody give me the correct settings if the former is the case or suggest what else may be wrong.

Thanks.

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

Take the motor out of the loop and connect the digisat Pro directly between the LNB and receiver. Is this the version with its own batteries?

's what I've been doing. It looks to me like the version that relies either on a supply from the receiver or an external 12-18v DC supply. What I mean't was I haven't been getting green indiacator when I connect the Moteck up normally which suggests to me no signal is coming from the receiver at all.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say about the meter, it is a long time since I've seen one in use. When you connect the meter between the LNB and the receiver and you move the dish around, is it not moving the signal bars on the meter?

My System: triax td88 motorised, Vantage x221tsci, tms-1500ci, skystar 2, diablo v2.3, zone 2 minidish - setanta

hmm interesting as mine works fine through a motor as i connect the lead from the lnb to the digisat pro and then connect a coax lead to the lnb input on the motor and then align my dish that way

also make sure the receiver is turned on to power it of use external power

It appears that the coax cables weren't giving a good contact in the f-plugs though they didn't look particularly bad when I inspected them. I've re-done a couple and am getting a signal now. Grrr......
Thanks all anyway.
