My System: not yet |
Hi all – I have decided to buy and install my own satellite system to receive Hispasat 30W channels. I am based in North London. So far, I have decided on the following equipment: -80cm Triax dish (88cm?) -Technomate TM1500 receiver And um, that’s it so far ![]() 1-what lnb should I buy? 2-what brand of cable should I buy? 3-is there any other equipment I need (apart from the obvious: screws, wall bracket etc)? Thanks very much! | ||

Blog Entries: 3 My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum. | Your cable choice should depend on the distance between the dish and the receiver, WF100 and CT100 are fine for most domestic installations. The dish size should be more than adequate for Hispasat, LNB wise, the little Inverto performs very well and is pretty good value for money. You will then need a wall bracket, possibly best to go for a set of T&K brackets, then you can easily upgrade to a motorised setup.
