My System: new to satellite
english tv in denmark

Hi All
I am totally new to this satellite lark having just moved to Denmark and requiring to receive some decent tv, what set up would you guys reccommend for me to get english tv channels, ie size of dish, which satellite to point to, which receiver (i am toying with the technomate or manhatten plaza after reading some threads) to purchase etc. thanks in advance.

My System: triax td88 motorised, Vantage x221tsci, tms-1500ci, skystar 2, diablo v2.3, zone 2 minidish - setanta

well for english channels you will need to point the dish at astra 2, 28.2east

dish size looking at the footprint maps of astra 2 i wouldn't think you'd need to use anything over 1.2metre

if you are looking to get the sky digital channels then you will need to use a sky digibox but there is plenty of free to air channels like the bbc and itv

Have a look at the forum at astra2d.com.Bunch of Danes there discussing equipment for recieving BBC and ITV in Denmark!

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.
