Tuning Problems

Hi.

I am new to this forum so excuse me if I am asking this question in the wrong place.

I am having difficulty tuning into the FTA channels Lider tv 12149V and SloveniaTV2 12303V on Hotbird 13E.

Someone said to me that channels in the 12's are affected by landline phones that have multi handsets , which are present in the house.

But I seem to be able to tune into AZ TV 12245H with no problems.

Any ideas please?

Hi,
Yes you probably have posted in the wrong place, but hopefully a kindly mod will move it.

Anyway, to disprove or otherwise the phone interference theory, have you tried disconnecting/switching off the phones, to see if this cures the problem?

My System: Motorised dish, dvd players and recorders; a freeview box, broadband, VCRs, four TVs, mobiles, pcs, a mac, Ipod, digital cameras...the lot!

I can't tune 'em in either. My motorised dish is stuck on the Hustler channel on Sirius.

Seriously, I hope you get a helpful reply.

My System: Mostly gathering dust cos I'm a lazy git. Porty dish face blew off the mount, not too pleased...

The Sleepy Hollow pollracle has spoken!

Have you tried substitution? Try another box on your setup and vice versa, try a different LNB, try a different cable, and lastly (but most unlikely) a different, possibly larger, dish...

Also, it could be a slight misalignment of the dish, tweaking it just slightly might help, but mark the mount and pole with a marker pen or Tipp-Ex before moving anything incase you lose the satellite altogether...

The first thing you can try is adjusting the frequency slightly, try searching for 12154 V 27500.
