My System: Technomate TM-9100 Super Receiver / 110cm Triax Dish / Alsat DiESqC 1.2 H-H Mount Motor / 24" T&K Brackets. |
Hello I'm about to purchase a 110cm dish along with 18" T&K brackets. My home faces south east and this will be a wall mount installation . Will the 18" brackets give enough stand off for my dish to reach all the sat west to east (without hitting the wall) or should I go for the 24"? Thank you

My System: TM6800HD+TD110+StabHH90 motor,TM1000D+Orbital 1m +Moteck motor.45E to 45W. 2 x minidishes.DigitAlB movies. A Bigsat BS-S77CX and a Sky Dodgibox. | A 110 cm dish when turned 45 degrees, will project backwards by approx 39cm. It will also be sticking out side ways by 39cm. A wall at 45 degrees i.e south east will project forward by 39cm, where the edge of the dish is, when at 45 degrees. Thus to be able to go to 45 degrees on the Western side the total space between the wall and the centre of the dish needs to be approx 78cm or more (30 inches) The motor spaces it out a bit, say 6 inches. The dish is also curved, so another few inches. My conclusion, 18 inches too short, 24 should do it. If in doubt, get a big piece of cardboard and try it. My System: triax td88 motorised, Vantage x221tsci, tms-1500ci, skystar 2, diablo v2.3, zone 2 minidish - setanta | think you need 24 inch but it just depends what position the satellites are to your house wall do you have a sky dish, as you can tell by looking at that if it points stright out then you should be fine on 18's but if its nearly at right angle to the wall then go for 24's to be sure i have 24inch t&k brackets for a 90cm triax dish to get enough clearence for 42e-58west TJExcalibur, your a star as i need some 3 inch u bolts to get my 1224 up and couldn't find any.
