My System: Mostly gathering dust cos I'm a lazy git. Porty dish face blew off the mount, not too pleased...

The Sleepy Hollow pollracle has spoken!

If you have a 10 metre dish, you might get some fringes at odd times of the day, but otherwise, not a snowflake...

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

Yes, and most of them will be well below the horizon.

There are some European channels showing NFL, but not sure which ones.

No you cant get the yank sats - most of them are below the western horizon in Europe. Theres a couple of theoretically possible birds, but you would need silly sized dishes as mentoned by 2cv

My System: Technomate TM6800D & TM1000D+ receivers, Stab H-H90 motorised Triax 1m dish 42E to 30W. Fixed Orbital 1m on 26E, 2 x minidishes.DigitAlB movies. A Bigsat BS-S77CX and a Sky Dodgibox.

I don't know the exact figure, but anything over 70 odd degrees west, will be below the horizon anyway.
Any size dish would not pick anything up.

If you know anyone in the American armed forces you could try and get your hands on on of the AFN boxes. AFN broadcast on 13e and is full of Yank broadcasting

_http://myafn.dodmedia.osd.mil/

Unfortunately the only way to get it is to have an active Scientific Atlanta Powervu receiver from the Yank armed forces

It can't be opened any other way as its encrypted in PowerVu which is as far as i am aware 100% locked up and secure. Its probably tighter atm than NDS which Sky uses

The ONLY way to get AFN is to find a contact in the yank military based in Europe who is willing to get you one - it took rd100 the best part of 2 years hard searching to find a working afn decoder.

Do a search for PowerVu and Power Vu - the story is on the site in the archives somewhere

IF you can get hold of one then yes it will work ( in fact it will work anywhere in western Europe).

Note you CANNOT buy the AFN PowerVu decoders from any normal suppliers.
