you will need at least an 1.5meter dish to receive Nilesat,i am on the east coast of ireland and a i.2 meter dish is not big enough,i use an Echostar3600

| I think that even 1.5m is not enough. Few members still have problems with 2.4m, especially with the horizontal channels, but they are not in London, if memory serves me right. There is a thread about receiving Nilesat in the UK or maybe Europe. Search for it, There are lots of info there. | ||

Many thanks to all who replied. Much appreciated. What I meant is how to tune in the echostar in order to receive nilesat which seems to have disappeared.I used to have it together with 12 other satellites I had programmed. Regards baedeker

My System: Channel Master 1.2m and 1.8m, Vantage VT-X221TS CI and 8000s, Technomate V-Box II, 18" Superjack actuator | I got a 1.2m channel master with matched feedhorn recently and I'm getting a low signal on 11919 H during the day and one other hortizontal here in North London. At night these improve and some other horizontals appear. I get all the verticals and most of them remain strong enough to watch in the rain. My dad has an echostar and I wouldn't recommend it for nilesat as I have compared it with the vantage and there is more picture breakup on the echostar.
