My System: Pace DS810XE Raven Gemini 70 dish Multi Bracket, 3 Inverto Silvertech 0.2 LNBs
Is it possible?

Is it possible to tune in to these 3 sats, 9E, 19.2E and 28.2 E using a fixed dish with 3 lnb multi bracket or is the span too great? If so which one should I set (focus) on first. Thanks

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

A 90cm Raven Gemini with East and West Offset brackets would probably do it, use 19.2 East as the central satellite, might as well throw in an LNB for 13 East as well. You could of course try it with your 70cm and see how well it works.

You should be able to add another satellite to your list, and then add all the transponders for it manually, or blind scan.

If you can't work out how to do it, you could use a position that you are not going to use as a last resort, and just change the transponder frequencies.

Any idea of what position and where on the bracket I should starting looking for 10E with my 3rd lnb bearing in mind I have my center lnb set at 19E and 2nd lnb at 28.5E which is on my left hand side when facing the dish?..... thanks

If you are focussed on 19E, 10E should be on the right when facing the dish.
It also needs to be slightly lower, as 10E is higher in the sky than 19E.

If the bracket has degree markings on it, put it at about 9 degrees to the right. Then duck down below the dish a bit and adjust for best signal quality.

Also remember you will need to adjust the skew a little too(clockwise a bit, looking a the dish face)

Not a sniff!... maybe the dish isnt big enough. Ive even tried making it the main focus using the center lnb and moving the dish to try and pick it up but still cant get it...

Which transponder are you looking at?

I'm just doing a blind scan on 9E at the moment to see what I get.I'll let you know if I find a strong one.

Ok, try 11843V 27500 3/4. (9E)

I'm getting a gopping great signal on that transponder.

showing B4 music India. (free to air)

That is on 11958V 27500 3/4.

Just checked, that is another very strong transponder, you should be able to get it on focus at least with your 70cm.

I can't give the precise details how to get it on your receiver, but in general:

In the setup menu somewhere, go to the settings for 9E ( or 10E if you are using that), then add new transponders (if not there already) for the two frequencies I just mentioned, also set their symbol rate (27500) and their FEC (if not automatic) and of course H or V.

Then with the dish at that position, with one of those transponders selected, get a signal strength/quality meter up on the receiver, monitor signal and adjust the dish.

Thanks Robbo, but remember I havn't been able to find a signal for 10E at all. Like I said Ive tried moving the dish etc but without a flicker.. surely I have to find the satellite before trying what you say?

No, you need to enter the transponder details in first, if they're not already there.

You need to do this so that you can find the satellite.

The transponders in your receiver already may be too weak/impossible for you to pick up. Wheras if you put in one that is really strong, you have a chance of picking it up, and can use it to adjust the dish on.

Leave the LO (Local Oscillator) alone, it should be set at universal, 9750 and 10600.

You should be able to add transponders on all receivers, just a matter of finding where.

Your receiver does allow you to enter transponder frequencies manually, just like any other receiver.

Have a look at the quick start guide, Network Scan:-

Yes but the "Network Scan" screen only appears after the "Reception" screen, where the signal strength if any is shown.... or am I missing something here....

When you go into the satellite set up screen, it normally lists a default transponder, this can in most cases, be clicked on to change to the one you need to look for.

what I think I need to do is to change one of the existing sats that I will never use to the frequencies Robbo suggested if I can and try that..

The transponders are the the things in the satellites that sends us the signals,
each one is on a different frequency for each satellite.

So in essence, for Transponder read Frequency.

It is a pity Pace charge £1.50 to download a PDF copy of their manuals.

as I suspect the full information is not contained within the Quick start guide.

Honestly Robbo, I have the manual in my hand.. there is no way with this stb that I can edit the frequency and save the settings before tuning in find the satellite, I can edit the settings when doing a channel scan but that of course is after I have a signal...
