My System: Technomate TM6800D & TM1000D+ receivers, Stab H-H90 motorised Triax 1m dish 42E to 30W. Fixed Orbital 1m on 26E, 2 x minidishes.DigitAlB movies. A Bigsat BS-S77CX and a Sky Dodgibox.

Hi, for 19.2E and 13E you just need a 6 degree monoblock LNB. Is your dish large enough? as some of the Hotbird beams appear to be a weaker than the Astra (19.2E) beams for your area:-

The monoblock LNB has an integrated DiSEqC switch, so only one cable is fed to the receiver, so only one receiver is required.

thanks for your reply .. looking at the map it appears my dish would be too small but i have a larger dish 1.3m pointed at 28.2 .. but obviously further from 13 e .. would that be too much of a gap ..
thanks

The further away from the focus the worse the signal is, I don't think it would work on that either, but there is no harm in trying, you may pick up the stronger transponders on either dish, give it a go.

Motorising your 1.3m dish would be your best option, or get another 1.3m dish.

I'm not a dish expert, but I gather than the fibreglass dishes made by ASC signal (formally Andrews and Channel Master) are the sort of dish that the professional use.

My System: ?

I think (although I'm not 100% sure) that the monoblock LNBs are suitable for 80cm dishes only.

Yes good point. I believe they are optimized for 80cm dishes, but can be used for other sizes near that as well.

As long as the angular offset from the focus is about 6 degrees it will be fine. The offset LNB isn't properly focussed anyway, hence the drop in signal.
