Dish set up problem

hello, I am trying to set up a Silvercrest SL65, my problem is that the signal strength & quality strength that show on the TV screen stay at around 34% & 11% whether the dish is attached to the receiver or not.
I have tested both the cable and the receiver by attaching them to another dish (a Sky freeview set up we already have) and they work fine. Could the LNB be faulty or do I just need to be really precise with the direction the dish is pointing?
Thanks

My System: TM6800HD+TD110+StabHH90 motor,TM1000D+Orbital 1m +Moteck motor.45E to 45W. 2 x minidishes.DigitAlB movies. A Bigsat BS-S77CX and a Sky Dodgibox.

You have to be really precise when aiming the dish.

Depending on the size, within a degree in both azimuth and elevation.

Which satellite are you trying to align to?

Here is a useful site to get the correct figures:-

Set the elevation scale correct on the back of the dish, then very slowly swivel the dish round until you get a good signal.

Have a look at the direction of your neighbours dish. I find the best way is to have a portable television in sight for easy tuning
