My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

We'll soon find out.

If members can drive their dishes so that they are side on to the wind, it should help a little.

Not much I can do with mine, it is quite exposed, but only 80cm, i'm expecting to have to sort out a few dishes and aerials next week, as it is bound to bring some down.

My System: Zone1, DSI8215 SkyHD, Thomson DSI4214, TF5000CI, Dreambox DM800 HD PVR - Nab BH0.12, TM-5200D, Gibertini 104cm, SNH-031, 36v Actuator, Vbox-II, 42°E to 30°W, Sling Media, Televes H45 Digital Processing Analyser, Satlook Micro+G2 NIT, Rover SDM 1s

Yes I have driven my dish parallel to the wall which is 23.5 East. There's not much you can do other than that. On the edge of village here with a field in front; the wind belts over.

I've often wondered about the wind hitting the dish and stripping the gearing in the motor (moteck)????

Still one good thing I suppose, as Rolf said, plenty of dish re-alignments and replacement aerials & masts to do next week.... when the wind stops of course.

If you can just take it down for a week and then re-install it..... LOL you may laugh but I had thought of it, just the dish that is.

No, just position the dish where it's less prone to facing into the wind, trouble is the wind may change direction of course.

My 1.2m and 1.8m will be fine if a dish is installed correct and not by a cowboy installer or one of those nasty diseqc mounts,
