Hello

Welcome to the forum mrwolves

I have deactivated your live link, live links are against forum rules.

The kit you mention is OK, nothing special but the dish size limits your reception. However if you just want to play it will suffice. In answer to your question no it will not work like that, you need to set the dish up to within one degree vertically and horizontally to receive what you want and most people are not able to determine where 28 degrees is just by looking, even if your neigbour has a dish pointing at the same satellite actually achieving your goal requires patience. There are a number of threads concerning that caravan kit and the sometimes defective cable that is supplied. Use the forum search option to find the information you need

If he were not a wizard, from head down to the root, you would have got to worry-your DB only boots

By the looks of it the dish attaches to the case so may not really be suitable for permanent home use without a permanent wall bracket and extra cable.

It is a system designed for camping and portability, so there's no point in getting it for home use as the dish will just be a compromise, because of its size.

If you just want a FTA kit, aim to get one with a slightly larger dish.

In essence you are correct though, with a bit of patience and practise, yes you could stick the dish on your wall, align the dish, connect up the cable, and in not too much time you would be able to receive the FTA channels with it.

also would i have too have any kind of subscription for supersports or art sports etc.

if you could write down a decent dish with everything i would need including box, also i have sky tv could just point it in the same direction as that too pick up new channels.

To get the best choice of channels, a motorised dish is best, preferably something in the region of 1m. I think one of the site sponsors (southern satellite) was doing a full motorised kit for £99 including a Darkbox receiver. That should do what you want I think, and it is very cheap.

However I recommend that you have a good read around the forum and do a bit of research before you buy any kit, to give yourself a better chance of getting your ideal system.

The dish is good, the motor is probably OK, but the receiver is poor.
It does not have patch support, so good for FTA only and when you start moving channels around it gets in a complete mess and a factory reset is the only cure. I bought a very similar kit approx 1 year ago
I had the receiver for approx two weeks, then upgraded it to my current one. Sold the receiver for £20, just to get rid.

The one I'm looking at includes the receiver.

None of them really.

Although, apart from the beta they are all OK for FTA stuff, or one with a CI slot for an official subscription.

You are better off with one of the Technomates like a TM5400, one of the site sponsors will no doubt sell it.
