Can anyone help, please?

My old Grundig gregorian dish with a built-in 36v motor sadly died last week. I have now bought a Triax 1.1m dish and a Jaeger SMR-99G H-H 36v positioner and desparately need some help. The install location is near to Bognor Regis, West Sussex, Lat 50.77N Long -0.740 . Please, can anyone help me by supplying the settings for the Triax mount and the settings for the Jaeger mount?

Regards

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

Which Grundig dish is this, the 90cm or 1.2, if you look in the Fibo members' section, there are new and reconditioned units available. Don't discard the dish, it is better than most of the opposition.

Yes, it is a shame to not use the gregorian still.

For the HH motor you will need to set its elevation to match your latitude.

The dish elevation (called the declination) can be set by adjusting for max signal on Thor 0.8W (11325H-BBC World), after driving the motor there. For you, it is easy as it will be near as dammit at zero.
My Triax 110 is just tilting back a few degrees when I'm on that sat.

My System: triax td88 motorised, Vantage x221tsci, tms-1500ci, skystar 2, diablo v2.3, zone 2 minidish - setanta

keep the dish, dont bin it

you should have bought the jaeger 1224 motor and modified the adapter plate and used your gregorian dish as it will be better than the triax 1.1m

anyway with the smr 99 motor you need to use an angle finder or inclinometer and set the motor elevation with the long screw on the back of the motor

then once the dish is on you just find thor 1west with a meter and adjust the dish elevation for best signal

the elevation bracket on triax dishes aren't 100% correct
