Rolfw kindly scanned and uploaded his polar mount manual when I was having difficulties a few months ago. You will find it here. If you need anymore help then post back here. I haven't got a 1224 motor yet so cannot help with that.

My System: Technomate TM6800D & TM1000D+ receivers, Stab H-H90 motorised Triax 1m dish 42E to 30W. Fixed Orbital 1m on 26E, 2 x minidishes.DigitAlB movies. A Bigsat BS-S77CX and a Sky Dodgibox.

The 1224 is an Horizon to Horizon mount isn't it?

I have not got one either, but looking at the picture, the screw thing at the bottom is used for adjusting the elevation. The elevation should be set to 90-latitude.

As for the declination, it looks like the screw at the top does that, normally with an H-H motor this can be set by adjusting for best signal on the satellite closest to you due south.

no you set the polar mount elevation to the latitude of your location as for example mine is set to 37degrees which is 90-latitude figure

so on the 1224 motor you adjust the long threaded bolt to your latitude setting with an inclinometer and then adjust the dish elevation by loosing the top two offset brackets on the adapter plate to tilt the dish forward or back when aligning to your reference satellite

some pic below of 1224 motor

re jaeger 1224

i may sound thick here but here goes so wot you are saying is move long bolt til i get 37 on inclineometer as think that is same as mine and then on the top plate adjust that to 90 using the inclineomiter hope thats wot you mean

you need to get your local coordinates from multi map etc

then as in the picture adjust the long bolt with the inclinometer on the motor to your setting and tighten the bolt up.

then on the dish side align the dish on thor 1west as i see your in the uk and you need to use a meter and adjust this for best signal on say 11325h bbc world

as we cant say what to set the dish to as you might not track the arc properly

Hi,

With reference to wod's picture, stick your inclinometer on the motor body and adjust the bolt so that it reads 90-53.43=36.57.

Then the dish tilt would be adjusted and the whole assembly swivelled round the pole to give max signal on 1W, whilst the motor was sent to 0.3 degrees east.

there's quite a few places like satcure that do the ground stands.

make sure you buy the 76mm/3inch pole version as the jaeger 1224 motor is better on that size pole, as i tried it on 2 inch and would not recommend it.

Supermount SMR-1224 zero (highest) position ?

I've just bought a SuperJack SMR-1224

My question:

Are there any simple method to "reset" it ?
(adjusting to the highest, ie.: the "0" position)

Thank you,

Balazs
