I don't think that you can do it as you want.

Why have you got a multiswitch anyway?, for just one receiver, you don't need it.

What might work is putting the motor BEFORE the multiswitch in the circuit (i.e connect the receiver straight to the motor), so that the motor always moves.

thanks, having freesat in every room!,also got rf mod for cctv combined with terestrail, but in the main room ill have the main sat receaver and i like to play hence the rotor idea!!,what frequency does the disq use?,is it 22khtz?,if so would a magic eye bypass work?,or could i "T" off the up lead to the multiswitch and send it to the rotor?.

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

If you are using the dish for Freesat, then it wouldn't be a good idea for one receiver to have the ability to move it, as suddenly three other receivers would lose their pictures.

I don't believe that any bypass would work, you would be better to mount a new dish and run a separate cable.

The easiest way to do it in that case, is to install a totally separate system for motorised. Your main receiver would be used to control and watch sat channels from the motorised the dish, the rest would remain as they are.

It would not be possible to T-off to a motor and another LNB, as you would get two lots of IF coming down the cable, which would just give you a horrible mess at the receiver.

Yes, Diseqc modulates 22kHz.

It might work in-line as I said before, I don't know about T'ing off, it might work it probably won't, but you'd have to use a splitter with dc-pass on both legs.
A T-piece would screw up the impedances.
If you a going to get a motor anyway, no harm in experimenting I suppose.
